HBCU Portal Program
The HBCU Portal Program is an opportunity for businesses or individuals to partner with The A.L. Harper Foundation through a financial investment and custom program. This Program identifies students enrolled in an Historically Black College or University in an effort to meet the business or individual initiatives.
Our current Blue Cross & Blue Shield of North Carolina partnership allows us to assist students from specific HBCUs, in North Carolina, to become Birthing Professionals in an effort to address the maternal and infant health disparities within the state. This effort also addresses the need for more black and brown childbirth educators, doulas and lactation consultants.
Our PSA-Airlines College to Career Cohort identifies rising/graduating seniors who are interested in careers with the company. These students will attend a six-weekend cohort designed to help them transition from college to a business environment and provide them with scholarships once they successfully complete the cohort.
